Wedding Event Painting from Photos after the event by Joan Zylkin The Event Painter

Because I wasn’t available to paint live on the night I composed this painting from a selection of photos after the event.  24X36"

The Bride's parents gave the couple the original painting which was painted live at their wedding, and asked me to do this painting for them, which I did in my studio.  The original painting was 24x30 inches and this one is 24x36 inches.

Wedding ceremony at Rockwood Park painted from photos by Joan Zylkin The Event Painter.

I painted the reception for this wedding live at it was happening and took photos of the on site ceremony so that I could do this painting in my studio: 12x16 inches
"Joan, I am absolutely blown away.  I don't know how  you do it, but both these paintings (this one and of the ceremony) are fantastic”.  I can't tell you how thrilled we are with your fabulous work.  You have an amazing eye that somehow not only capture looks, but personality as well.  We feel lucky to have had you caputre a very important event in our lives.  Thank you so much." ~ Bride's Mom

This painting is of my son's wedding in Mexico this last December.  That's me 2nd from the left with the rest of my family.  To achieve ths composition I took information from several different photographs to include the palapas, servers, champagne, the wedding party, conch shells/aisle matting, colors and formations of the ocean/waves and the sky/clouds,  pier and rotunda, and the palm trees and rocks on the right.

"WE LOVE IT"  ~ Brides' parents.

The ceremony painting below was composed from a combination of several photographs, and captured the whole moment as the photographer had not been able to do because in reality, you couldn't see the wedding party full length because of the guests.  I also did a live reception painting for this couple.

This Philadelphia Bride and Groom had their first trip together to Morocco where they rode camels, the reception (and also his bachelor apartment) was on the River Delaware with a view of the Franklin Bridge and passing cargo ships, and the cake shows the iconic LOVE symbol from the Sculpture in Philly's Love Park, as well as the couple's initals, wedding date and a nod to Japan with a pagoda.  Inscribed into the painting beneath the camel is "to the future …"  11x14 inches
“We LOVE our painting and everyone who comes to see our new house RAVES ABOUT IT!”
